Taulat de Rugimon came to King Arthur's court and stabbed one of Arthur's knights. Jaufry is a young and ambitious knight who sets out to avenge an insult to Arthur's court. After a series of bizarre adventures, Jaufry catches up with Taulat and wins the Brunissende Fair.

Jean-Bernard Mary-Lafon, Published in English in 1857, initially anonymous medieval romantic poetry in Occitan, was published the previous year by Jean-Bernard Translation of the French translation by Alfred Elwes.
